A bstract Asymmetric heterotic orbifolds are discussed from the worldsheet perspective. Starting Buscher’s gauging of a theory D compact bosons duality covariant description Tseytlin is obtained after non-Lorentz invariant gauge fixing. left-over symmetry can be used to removed doubled constant zero modes so that physical target space coordinate remain. This thought as realization strong constraint double field theory. The extension this straightforward all results written in terms and generalized metrics.
